Responsible for
Coordinating the on-time, on-budget delivery of e-Business Solutions. Aligning the company or client's web presence with its business strategy. |

Reports To
CIO, IT Manager/Director, Professional Services Manager. |

Supervises
A team of e-Business Programmers, Architects and if relevant, Graphic Designers and Authors. Typically 11-20 staff. |
| |
Main Activities
Gathering with department heads/clients to determine the content to be made available over the web, and how this fits into the corporate strategy.
Creating proposal documents and Electronic Proof of concepts to win over clients - both internal and external.
Managing the development, implementation and continuous evolution of e-Business solutions, and monitoring various technical issues relating to security, continuity of operation and data integrity.
Investigating new products and technologies and making appropriate hardware/software/telecommunications choices.

Key Skills
Ability to calculate and articulate ROI, benefits and challenges associated with e-Business projects.
Strong project management skills, delivering projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Strong technical background, with a history of successful installations in the relevant e-Business or related technologies.
Team building and pragmatic problem solving skills to manage representatives from multiple functions (e.g. sales, marketing, operations, technology, customer support within the scope of the project).
Considerable knowledge of relevant technologies including databases, Internet systems software, object based systems, OO programming and Internet security.

Typical Experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications. Total experience typically in excess of 10 years, including several years in project leadership, systems development and design. Will have successful exposure to projects involving distributed computing, the Internet and financial transactions. Relevant industry experience is also often a necessity. |
