In March 2000 Hewitt produced its inaugural survey for the General Insurance Industry. Due to the success of this report, Hewitt now produces the General Insurance Remuneration Group Survey biannually in June and December.

The November 2009 survey contains information from 38 organisations, with a total of 20,069 lines of individual salaries and benefits information. This has enabled Hewitt to publish 205 comprehensive remuneration and benefits tables.
