Responsible for
Ensuring the successful delivery of innovative, design for small screen devices and the development of content rich applications. |

No supervisory responsibilities. |
| |
Main Activities
Designing products such as: sport; restaurant guides; news and other information rich products for small screen devices.
Reviewing new and unreleased mobile devices to report on suitability of use for the organisation's content services.
Creating and managing documents that outline and include changes required to content services to prepare the service for any new mobile devices.
Creating and managing templates and template documents to be used for image review, video and audio review.
Creating briefs for photographers and illustrators to ensure outsourced work is suitable for the wide variety of small screen devices on which they will appear.
Ensuring consistency with the user interface group and design work through the organisation through liaison with various groups external to the user interface team, from project management, product marketing, technical, publishing and other relevant groups.
Creating and reviewing style guides for use both within the organisation and by third parties.

Key Skills
Good understanding of web publishing and other content management systems.
Proficiency in applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, VISIO, QuarkXpress, Dream Weaver and Word.
Knowledge of online development, including design and HTML.
Excellent planning and time management skills.
Attention to detail.
Problem solving ability.

Typical Experience
